As a Solution Architect, I get frustrated by glossy sales brochures full of buzz words; sprinkling terms like Elasticity and Enterprise Analytics Platform like it’s magic fairy dust.

This blog site is an attempt to dispel the nonsense and explain it as it really is.

Having architected data warehouse solutions since the last century I’m now working for Snowflake in London, UK. and can honestly say, “After 30+ years in the industry, I’ve never seen anything quite like Snowflake. It just works”.

I live near London with my wife and beautiful daughter, 4 cats, a leopard gekko, a bearded dragon and an several African land snails. I also have two grown up daughters and two delightful grandchildren.
